Professionals with this designation have proven their expertise in specific building knowledge on ramps and slopes, zero-step thresholds, curbless showers, accessibility equipment, home automation solutions and much more. They have been trained in associated client communication, empathy, privacy, insurance, and legal considerations.
A CHBA Qualified Adaptiv Home Specialist will:
• Review the home to identify safety hazards and areas that require adaptation for accessibility.
• Propose Adaptiv Home design solutions with careful consideration of the client’s current and future healthcare needs.
• Approach their clients with empathy and a better understanding of the conditions and diseases that impact their daily lives.
• Build a team of professionals with specific expertise in home adaptation. In addition to renovators, this may include designers, occupational therapists, accessibility equipment specialist, etc.
